Junghans Kunststoffwaren-Fabrik has around nine<\/strong> million euros in automation and digitalisation in order to be well positioned for the future.<\/strong><\/p>\n

With a view to the future, the manufacturer of customised plastic packaging, closures, lids and containers has put together an extensive investment package. Around nine million euros were channelled into extensive transformation measures. The focus was on technologies such as driverless transport systems, palletising robots, fully automatic carton erectors and sealers as well as a state-of-the-art high-bay warehouse<\/strong>. Every day, 3800 cartons alone have to be filled, moved and stacked on 190 pallets.<\/p>\n

These measures for more efficient production were supported by comprehensive digitalisation of production processes.<\/strong> From the delivery of the raw materials to the production machine through to quality control and delivery, every station is documented. The seamless traceability of every single part<\/strong> of the more than one million products manufactured every day is therefore guaranteed.<\/p>

Quality assurance has also been significantly optimised. The total of 65 employees are consistently and continuously are trained in all hygiene and quality-related topics and internal teams of auditors monitor the flawless processes.<\/strong> A hazard and risk analysis team meets monthly to identify potential risks in the manufacture of products and analyse feedback from customers. Training by external experts in the fields of laboratory analysis, measurement technology and food safety complete the safety package.<\/p>\n

Top rating in the BRC hygiene audit<\/strong><\/h2>\n

With success, because at an unannounced BRC hygiene audit<\/strong> Junghans Kunststoffwaren-Fabrik was convincing all along the line and achieved the rarely awarded top rating AA+<\/strong>. This rare award in the area of food safety emphasises Junghans\u201e leading role in plastics processing and is proof of the company's commitment to quality, hygiene and efficiency. \u201cThis shows that our standards don't just exist on paper, but also in everyday life,\" says Managing Director Martina Junghans.<\/p>
