Against the background of constant changes in the area of food contact applications and ever stricter EU regulations, it is important to identify materials in a timely manner with which high-quality reusable solutions and safe food contact can be realised. Actega offers TPE materials that are suitable for food contact applications and other sensitive market areas. <\/strong><\/p>\n

TPE materials, which have been used for a long time in food contact, but also in many other areas such as consumer goods, medicine, pharmaceuticals and many other industries, are \u201eby nature\u201c plasticiser-free and therefore also bisphenol A (BPA)-free<\/strong>. Thermoplastic elastomers <\/span><\/span>(TPE) are food-safe and, due to their processing technology, resource-saving and energy-saving, and have been in use in food contact for almost 50 years.<\/p>\n

To support the idea of reusable packaging, the company Additional ISCC Plus certified variants<\/strong> and has thus opted for a world-leading certification system. ISCC Plus (International Sustainability & Carbon Certification), a recognised system for mass balance certification, complies with the European Commission's \u201eRenewable Energy Directive RED\u201c. The proportion of bio-based raw material is allocated to the finished products by calculation.<\/strong> This systematically reduces the use of fossil raw materials and promotes the use of bio-based and circular raw materials.<\/p>\n

The goal is, ensure the traceability of raw materials along the entire value chain<\/strong>, This includes proof of origin for raw materials and materials, as well as the fact that all companies along the value chain must be ISCC Plus certified. Used as a drop-in solution to conventional TPEs, customers receive a product that is is chemically identical to your existing product<\/strong>. This means that the previous processing parameters remain the same and a new qualification or recertification of the material is not necessary.<\/p>\n
