Depending on the pack contents, the corresponding information is passed on to the Multivac labelling and printing system so that each pack is correctly labelled.

Increasing demands on quality, high process speeds and compliance with ever more complex labelling requirements present the food industry with challenges that require automated inspection systems. By using artificial intelligence (AI), the efficiency and accuracy of automated inspection systems can be maximised - and even Complex inspection or classification tasks quickly and reliably.

In addition to the Pack inspection as well as labelling and print control AI-supported vision systems also fulfil requirements in the area of Identification and quality control of food. The path to an AI-supported vision solution begins with an in-depth consultation and feasibility study for the respective application. Data is collected during commissioning: sample images are captured and classified under production conditions. An AI model is trained and optimised based on the classified data collection. We support the customer throughout the entire life cycle of the system when adapting the model or creating new AI models.“

Christine Oehls, Product Manager for Vision Systems at Multivac Marking & Inspection

Reliable inspection and identification of products or packs

The benefits of an AI-supported vision solution include automated, precise and consistently reliable inspection and identification of products or packs.
