Bizerba is one of the first label printers in the world to use the brand new Indigo 8000 Digital Press from HP at its Bochum site. The plant, which is one of the largest producers of thermal labels in Europe, is thus doubling its existing digital printing capacity and taking current market developments into account.
For label printers, there is no way around digital printing. Because the new technology eliminates the usual cliché changes, the set-up time is dramatically reduced. This is particularly advantageous for smaller print volumes. In terms of quality, the printing process of HP presses can be characterised as „digital offset printing“ so that quality and resolution fulfil even the highest demands. As with conventional offset printing, all common label materials can be printed digitally; even with individual print images, for example for customised codes or graphics.
For individualisation and personalisation
There is an increasing demand for individualisation and personalisation with smaller print runs. In addition, globalisation means that numerous new packaging materials are being used by globally active manufacturers. Bizerba is prepared for this: Thanks to the Global networking digital printing machines at all sites in Europe and North America, a label order can be printed in exactly the same way at every site.

In addition to the existing flexo and offset printing machinery, the Bochum site now has a strong third pillar, digital printing, in its production[/infotext].
