Meat processing is under considerable pressure: a lack of qualified personnel, rising energy and labour costs as well as increasing demands on hygiene, efficiency and traceability require new solutions. Poly-clip System aims to provide the right answer with smart automation.

The company's automation strategy is based on a modular concept that seamlessly harmonises modern clipping machines, flexible automation components and digital assistance systems. The various systems can be flexibly networked to create scalable production environments that are customised to the customer's needs.

Clipping is a central component of industrial sausage production. By automating this work step, companies of all sizes can achieve greater flexibility, precision and performance. With the FCA machine series, Poly-clip System has developed a solution that combines precision, speed and hygiene standards. One example is the FCA 160 XL, which is designed for large calibres (up to 160 mm) and heavy products (up to 14 kg). It achieves up to 100 cycles per minute in four-clip operation - with infinitely variable speed thanks to servo drives.

Sausage production can be made even more economical if the constant presence of operating personnel is reduced. The company has made this possible with the development of automatic casing reloading (ADNL), which can be combined with the high-performance clipping machines. It reloads the casings fully automatically, saves on labour and enables up to two hours of uninterrupted operation.

Smart smoke trolley loading

If the clipping process is to be followed by the loading of smoke trolleys, heavy sausage handling (HSH), which is also designed for products with a high weight, is the ideal solution. The HSH 18 machine is positioned directly behind the clipper, takes over the horizontal placement of finished sausages in the smoke trolley and works fully automatically, precisely and safely.

For intralogistics, Poly-clip has developed the Poly-LogBot, the first splash-proof transport robot that takes on heavy lifting tasks and connects production stations such as clipping, loading and packaging by transporting boxes or containers fully automatically.

Digital remote maintenance

One particular highlight is the digital remote maintenance service via smart glasses. If necessary, the technicians from the plants connect directly to the service experts from Poly-clip System via WLAN or mobile phone using the smart glasses and look at the machine together. Notes, plans or repair instructions can be displayed in the field of vision in real time.
