With around 90,000 participants from all over the world, Fruit Logistica 2026 has once again underlined its status as the world's leading business, innovation and knowledge platform for the fruit trade industry.
Despite the coldest winter in Germany for 15 years and weather-related flight cancellations, executives from the global fresh produce industry travelled to Berlin. Four out of five participants came from abroad. After three days of trade fairs with numerous technical discussions, product innovations and networking formats, the event ended with a high level of satisfaction among both exhibitors and visitors, according to reports.
„We were very impressed by how our trade visitors and exhibitors overcame the challenges of the past week - just as people from the fresh produce industry so often do. This is a resilient industry that knows how to deal with difficult conditions and logistical hurdles. That's why we weren't surprised that everyone at the exhibition centre remained focused, energetic and productive despite the snow.“
David Ruetz, Senior Vice President of Messe Berlin
Focus on innovations in production, packaging and technology
The exhibition halls focussed on developments along the entire value chain - from production and marketing to packaging and digital technologies. The exhibition programme was complemented by specialist presentations and discussion formats on key industry topics. Fruit Logistica thus consolidated its role as an international forum for business knowledge in the fruit trade.
The Fruit Logistica Innovation Awards were once again a benchmark for progress and efficiency in the industry. Formats such as the Startup World, the New Product Showcases and the Smart Agri Area provided additional impetus for the future development of the sector.
High satisfaction and strong business transactions
Both exhibitors and trade visitors rated the trade fair positively. According to the initial results of the exhibitor survey, nine out of ten exhibitors were satisfied with their business results. Just as many were already planning to participate again in 2027. According to the organisers, the objectives of presenting the company, acquiring new customers and cultivating existing customers were achieved to a high degree.
The representative trade visitor survey also indicated a high level of satisfaction. Well over 90 per cent of participants expressed a positive overall impression and would recommend the event to others. Nine out of ten are already planning to visit again next year. More than 95 per cent confirmed their satisfaction with the business success of their visit to the trade fair. Just as many praised the wide range of products on offer and stated that they had achieved their most important goals - making new contacts and familiarising themselves with new products.
The next Fruit Logistica will take place in Berlin from 3 to 5 February 2027.
