Packaging manufacturer Nefab has acquired the Slovakian company Vallos, which specialises in high-quality corrugated board packaging. With this acquisition, Nefab is expanding its portfolio in the fibre-based packaging sector in Central Europe and strengthening its support for sectors such as automotive, electronics, and industrial equipment.
By integrating Vallos, Nefab can further strengthen its market position both globally and locally. Per Öhagen, President and CEO of Nefab, emphasises that the acquisition strengthens the company's ability to better support customers in critical sectors such as lithium-ion batteries, datacom, and energy. With an expanded market presence and a broader offering of sustainable solutions, Nefab promises its customers greater added value. Martin Macejik, CEO of Vallos, expressed a positive view on the acquisition, seeing Vallos' principles aligning with those of Nefab.
Focus on sustainable solutions
Nefab develops sustainable packaging solutions designed to save resources in the supply chain. This acquisition is another step in this direction. Rui Garrido, EVP EMEA at Nefab, explained that by expanding its capabilities through Vallos, the company will be able to offer innovative solutions at a regional and local level.
With the acquisition of Vallos, the Nefab Group now comprises almost 5,300 employees in 39 countries, with an annual turnover of over SEK 10 billion. Strengthening its presence in Central Europe is a strategic step to meet the growing demand for environmentally friendly packaging solutions.
