Sixth „Pack Right Centre“ for innovative packaging concepts

DS Smith has now opened its sixth Pack Right Centre in Hövelhof. The opening of a further, then seventh, advice centre for innovative packaging concepts in this region is planned for early 2018.

DS Smith has now opened its sixth „Pack Right Centre“ in Hövelhof. The company, which operates in more than 37 countries, is thus strengthening its consulting expertise in the „Germany and Switzerland“ corporate region. The opening of a further, then seventh, consulting centre for innovative packaging concepts in this region is planned for the beginning of 2018.

In the „Pack Right Centre“, the corporate division „Packaging“ from DS Smith customers the co-operative development of innovative and creative display and Packaging concepts to. The company's employees attach great importance to a comprehensive analysis of the sales situation, purchasing behaviour and current market and retail trends. „The discussions with our customers show that our display and packaging concepts generate concrete added value for our customers,“ said Tom Wetzel, „Sector Director Consumer Packaging & Display“, at the official opening of the company's branch in Hövelhof.

Marion Mandalka, Head of the Hövelhover Centre, explained the concept of the Pack Right Centre: „We always have different contacts from our customers with us at our workshops in the Pack Right Centre, for example from the areas of Marketing, Supply Chain, production and purchasing. We analyse the most important trends and insights and the market environment of our respective customers in advance and can draw on the entire expertise of the DS Smith Group during the workshop. In just one day, we manage to develop a realisable product together with our customers.“ Time-consuming coordination processes are reduced to a minimum, the developed Packaging solutions and displays are faster to market.

During the official opening, the invited guests were able to enjoy a Virtual reality application and try out new packaging and display trends in a virtual packaging world. A presentation on trends at the POS in 2025 rounded off the programme.
