Around 20 years after the market launch and nine years after the redesign, the Karlsruhe-based cab Produkttechnik GmbH & Co KG presents the third generation of the proven printing and labelling systems with „Hermes Q“. These are based on the main board of the current generation of cab label printing systems with a powerful CPU. Process and print data can thus be processed up to three times faster. The maximum print speed is 300 millimetres per second.
The printing and labelling systems „Hermes Q“ process all common label materials made of paper or plastic, wound on rolls (all models) or on a reel (only the 2-inch device). The unwinding of the labels has been optimised to minimise the influence of the inertia of the label roll from the beginning to the end of processing. Swivelling dispensing edges allow even labels that are difficult to dispense or difficult to remove from the liner to be processed. The run of the Thermal transfer ribbon can be adjusted on the unwinder and rewinder. If labels are only partially printed, the film can be stopped during label transport. This automatic economy function significantly reduces material consumption.

The success of Hermes in automated production is due not only to its robust design but also to its modular construction and flexible application in industrial plants. If the product to be labelled or the size of the label changes, the system can be individually adapted. Two printing units are still available Unwinding diameter (205 and 310 millimetres) are available. For appliance types, the Label donation either to the left or to the right.
Tube labeller for laboratory samples
For the fast and reliable evaluation of Laboratory analyses can be printed with the label printer SQUIX Clearly labelling tubes. For this purpose, the printer is extended with the new AXON 2 labeller. Labelling is carried out by printing and labelling self-adhesive labels with a Barcode (2-D or linear) on the tubes. The information on the label remains legible even after prolonged storage and at temperatures between minus 196 degrees Celsius and 130 degrees Celsius. With 300 or 600 dpi print resolution, precise edge definition and high contrast, even the smallest codes can be verified. Printing is possible in Direct thermal or thermal transfer process. The printing speed is 100 millimetres per second. Tubes with diameters between ten and 17 millimetres, with or without a cap, can be labelled.
