With an intralogistics application, Pilz will be demonstrating the capabilities of its service robotics modules at SPS 2019, especially for mobile robot applications. The combination of a driverless transport system with a corresponding module will be on display at the stand. A new safe incremental encoder and new modules for a remote I/O system will also take centre stage at the trade fair.
All aspects of process security will also be at the centre of the SPS presentation. The automation technology specialist from Ostfildern will be presenting comprehensive concepts that can be used to secure access to the machine both physically and virtually. On the one hand Mushroom modular Safety gate systems with the secure mode selection and access authorisation system PITmode. On the other hand, authentication and authorisation can also be carried out with the Small control unit "PNOZmulti 2" and the readout unit PITreader.
New "PSSuniversal 2" I/O modules for voltage and current signals
The innovations include input and output modules in the Remote I/O system "PSSuniversal 2": The new analogue Electronic modules are available for voltage and current signals. There is also an electronics module with six digital inputs for 120 V AC signals. This gives users even more flexibility, openness and granularity for communication in automation networks.
The safe Incremental encoder "PSENenco" offers in combination with the Mushroom control solutions Safety functions for speed, direction, acceleration and standstill with different safety levels for each function. It sends position changes of a machine or machine parts, for example in machine tools or presses, to the evaluation unit. The high resolution allows fast response times and precise measurements for the Motion and position monitoring.
