Xeikon has announced the launch of its REX programme. With it, the company supports printers looking for affordable entry-level digital production printing solutions to meet customer demand for shorter runs, just-in-time production and customisation.
For smaller companies that want to tap into the market for professional Digital printing The investment required for this could pose a problem for companies wishing to tap into this market. Xeikon is now offering the REX programme a series of refurbished Xeikon printing presses as an attractive and affordable option for print shops and print service providers looking to expand their business with digital applications.
Jeroen Van Bauwel, Director of Product Management, says: „Xeikon has been stocking digital printing machines for more than 30 years. However, our customers' digital order volumes often develop so quickly that the machines can no longer keep up. That's why they invest in a faster model after just a few years. However, the returned printing presses have by no means reached the end of their useful life. These older machines are overhauled in our REX programme. They pass through our factory and receive all new updates. This also includes the digital front end, which is modernised to the latest version of our X-800 6.0 workflow. The presses, which have been completely overhauled as part of the REX programme, will then be put back on the market at an extremely attractive price. We are thus making our digital printing presses available to print service providers who want to enter this market segment for the first time and only have a limited investment framework available. The abbreviation REX stands for Remanufactured (refurbished), Ecological (ecological) and the well-known and market-appreciated Xeikon quality.“
