Claudia Bierth, European Sustainability Manager at Ball Beverage Packaging Europe, has been Managing Director of the Beverage Can Forum since the beginning of the year. She takes over the role from Stephan Rösgen, who has successfully represented the association as spokesperson since 2018 and will continue to serve on the board on behalf of beverage can manufacturer Ardagh Metal Beverage. The role of spokesperson rotates between the representatives of the member companies.
Claudia Bierth from the beverage can manufacturer has been responsible for the environmental policy dialogue with stakeholders in Brussels and for Sustainability and public affairs in Central Europe.

As an expert in the circular economy, Bierth Over 20 years of experience in sustainability, stakeholder engagement and political communication as well as stations in Germany, North America and India. At the European Umbrella organisation Metal Packaging Europe in Brussels, she has been Chair of the European Affairs Committee since 2019. With a Recycling rate of 99.3 per cent makes the can the recycling champion among packaging. „The challenge is to further develop the overall beverage packaging segment in a sustainable way. This applies to both disposable and reusable packaging,“ says Bierth.
