While other organisers postpone their trade fairs (Hanover Fair) or cancel for this year (Brau Beviale), Messe Frankfurt believes that Iffa 2022 is on track. The organiser is delighted with the high level of industry interest in its international trade fair for the processing, packaging and sale of meat and alternative proteins.
This year's Iffa, Technology for Meat and Alternative Proteins, finds from the 14 to 19 May in Frankfurt am Main will take place. The number of exhibiting companies is on a par with the previous event in 2019: Messe Frankfurt is expecting over 900 exhibiting companies from all over the world. The expected exhibition space, which will once again cover Halls 8, 9, 11 and 12, is on a par with the previous event. The companies will be showcasing innovations for the entire process chain of protein processing. In addition to meat products, for the first time Iffa is placing a special Focus on ingredients and production processes of plant proteins and wants to offer this rapidly growing segment a professional platform.
Positive expectations of the IFFA
Klaus Schröter, Managing Director of Schröter Technologie GmbH & Co. KG and Chairman of the VDMA's Meat Processing Machinery Division, explains: „There is a real need in the industry for huge need for personal exchange. On behalf of the exhibitors, I would like to emphasise that we need Iffa as a strong international platform this year and look forward to presenting our innovations to the trade public. With the new theme of alternative proteins, the world's leading trade fair is also experiencing an important reorientation and a push towards the future.“
For the Iffa year 2022, the food machinery industry is expecting an even greater Higher sales growth than in 2021. On the one hand, because the existing orders from 2021 will be converted into sales this year. On the other hand, the continuing good demand situation, the strong trend towards automation and digitalisation as well as product innovations would give every reason to have positive expectations for the world's leading trade fair.
In these volatile times of the pandemic, good preparation for trade fair participation is more important than ever. „Iffa offers a safe environment for contacts, business and inspiration,“ says Wolfgang Marzin, Chairman of the Board of Management of Messe Frankfurt. „Our protection and hygiene concept, which has been coordinated with the authorities, has already been successfully implemented at many face-to-face events. And just like everywhere else, the same applies to us: those who are vaccinated and boostered have the greatest possible freedom of action.“
Messe Frankfurt informs up to date on its protection and hygiene concept as well as the currently valid provisions of the Corona Protection Ordinance.
