Machine manufacturer Multivac will be presenting the new T 305 traysealer at the upcoming AnguaFoodTec and IFFA trade fairs. The machine is designed for packing small and medium-sized batches and fast product changeovers and, according to the manufacturer, is suitable for use in industry, supermarkets and canteen kitchens.
The new traysealer was developed for the production of MAP and vacuum skin packs in small to medium batches and can be used for various applications. The T 305 processes trays with a maximum format width of 420 x 300 millimetres made of paper, cardboard, plastic, aluminium and foamed materials as well as different top films.
The T 305 will be on show at the trade fairs as part of a flexible portioning line for self-service packs. A GMS 400 portioning machine cuts steaks and places them shingled on a conveyor belt. Parallel to this conveyor belt, trays are destacked and placed on a second belt. The two conveyor belts meet in front of the T 305 traysealer and the portions slide into the trays. This single-lane product flow of filled trays is divided into two lanes by a line distributor, as the traysealer is designed with two lanes. The trays are packaged in a modified atmosphere in the packaging machine.
