The HP Indigo 30000 digital printing press was used. The digital sheet-fed press enables efficient folding carton production, as designs can be better reproduced in digital printing. Particularly important for the current order was the Compliance with an individually defined print sequence. The HP Indigo 30000 also offers maximum colour intensity. This was the decisive factor in Mondelez placing the order.

"The particular challenge with this project is the colour accuracy. Everyone is familiar with Milka's purple colour, which has to be matched exactly. And not just once, but in the same high quality for every new production run. What's more, the additionally printed individual designs are very colour-intensive. Thanks to HP Indigo technology and our many years of experience, however, we were able to reproduce the required colour spectrum exactly."

Customised printing for large productions

Conventional personalised prints in digital printing have often only been used for small print runs. Large-volume customised printing was often left out. This project shows that digital printing is not only suitable for short runs, but that innovative large-volume concepts can also be realised with HP Indigo technology. We are delighted that Pfäffle GmbH has accepted this challenging task and that we can accompany them on their journey."
