At LogiMAT, Hugo Beck will be presenting two machines for processing sustainable film and paper types for e-commerce, mail order and logistics.

Two innovative machines from the Hugo Beck portfolio will be on display at the trade fair stand, demonstrating how the company the increased demand for efficient packaging solutions for the e-commerce sector using a variety of paper and film types. At the same time, emphasis is placed on minimising the use of materials in order to create both efficient and sustainable shipping packaging.

"We know how important the topic of sustainability is for our customers, while at the same time the order volume in e-commerce, mail order and logistics continues to grow."

Timo Kollmann, Managing Director of Hugo Beck Maschinenbau

The paper packaging machine paper e-com fit was developed for applications in the e-commerce and mail order sector. At the same time packaging material is reduced to a minimum. The machine is suitable for the direct dispatch of single packs, bundle packaging or the complex requirements of returns packaging.

Both uncoated and coated, recyclable papers can be used for Production of perfectly fitting paper bags with two sewn sides and an overlap at the top be used. In live demos for trade fair visitors, uncoated, brown Kraft Liner paper from DS Smith in a grammage of 115 g/m2 be visible. The bag size is automatically adjusted to different product dimensions in length and width, and because the paper e-com fit uses paper rolls in two different widthsit also reduces paper consumption.

Minimal use of film

Another machine on the Hugo Beck stand is the ideal solution for applications where film is required or preferred as a packaging material. The servo X e-com fit packs goods with minimal use of film and automatically adjusts the film bags, which are sealed on four sides, to the length and width of the product. For the production of sustainable shipping bags Verpalin film with 80 per cent post-consumer recycled material (PCR) of the supplier Verpa Folie Weidhausen GmbH is used in the live demos.

LogiMAT visitors are invited to discuss specific customer requirements with the experts on site and to find out about the company's increasingly diverse automation solutions. Hugo Beck is thus serving an enormous Automation potential, for example in the area of contract packaging. For example, packaging machines and any robot solutions used can be automatically adjusted to new products within minutes in order to process as many external orders as possible efficiently and practically error-free.
