At Fachpack, Sappi will be presenting new products and solutions in the areas of functional paper packaging, flexible packaging papers, label papers, corrugated board papers and virgin fibre cartons. Visitors will find out, for example, which barrier paper is the best sustainable packaging solution for their product.
The barrier paper specialist wants to replace non-recyclable aluminium and plastic multilayer laminates and offer a sustainable alternative made from renewable material, that fulfils all market requirements in terms of product protection. This is why Sappi is constantly expanding its portfolio of barrier papers with heat sealability. The company is recognised as an innovation and market leader in functional papers with integrated barrier function and heat sealability. At the trade fair, Sappi will be presenting Various sample packaging for food and non-food applications before.
Label paper with smooth surface and high whiteness
Sappi is also presenting its extensive range of wet-glue label papers - including the new Parade Label Pro. The glossy, double-coated quality on one side offers a very smooth surface and a high degree of whiteness. The paper is suitable for numerous labelling and flexible packaging applications, such as for labelling disposable bottles, food and non-food containers and for wrappers for various products. It can be printed using offset, flexographic and gravure printing and can be finished with hot foil and blind embossing, among other things.

At Fachpack, Sappi is presenting, among other things, its topliner cartons, which enhance the impact of products on the shelf with their brilliant colour reproduction and offer brand differentiation. A new product that Sappi developed together with the packaging and display manufacturer Brohl Wellpappe is the new Fusion Nature Plus paper with the tried-and-tested Fusion Topliner. „Together, they create corrugated cardboard packaging that is a real eye-catcher, especially as a mailing in the e-commerce sector,“ says Luis Mata.
Made entirely from corrugated cardboard, the parcel solution consists of shipping packaging, product packaging and an inlay. The actual effect only becomes visible when the packaging is opened: because the digitally printed Fusion Nature Plus inside of the shipping box then radiate towards the viewer.
