Connecting worlds of automation

AMKmotion at SPS 2022: The former AMK Arnold Müller GmbH & Co. KG presents itself for the first time under the new company name AMKmotion GmbH + Co KG.

AMKmotion celebrates a special premiere: The former AMK Arnold Müller GmbH & Co. KG is presenting itself for the first time as a member of the Arburg family under the new company name AMKmotion GmbH + Co KG. In the run-up to the trade fair, the team of experts has developed a demonstrator to show visitors the diversity of the AMKmotion product world and its philosophy: user and application orientation in the realisation of automation solutions. The highly efficient components traditionally play an important role here.

AMKmotion's new products include, for example, a new generation of decentralised inverters, also in a structural unit with servomotor. The new hybrid distributor also enables the interface from the central drive system to the decentralised drive world.

With many years of expertise, market and industry knowledge, future-proof, open-technology and unique automation solutions are developed from control systems, drives and motors (Fig.). This merging of the worlds of automation is illustrated by the modular trade fair demonstrator: centralised, decentralised and hybrid drive technology combine to create a Automation solution with a higher-level control system that transfers bottles from one station to another with maximum synchronisation. The application is an example of the individual applications that exist in mechanical and plant engineering.

The example application is also intended to show how automation can function independently of manufacturers and fieldbuses. The individual modules as well as an OPC UA server, which provides all process-relevant data, can be easily integrated into the existing system environment. The system is ready for TSN (Time-Sensitive Networking) as well as for a Connection to cloud solutions.
