Embossing machine for Braille on packaging

Marbach offers the msteel embossing machine for the production of embossing dies for fast, reliable and customised embossing.

Braille is mandatory in many countries, particularly in the field of pharmaceutical packaging. Marbach offers the msteel embossing machine for the production of embossing dies for fast, reliable and customised embossing.

The msteel embossing machine is used for Production of flat and rotary braille patrices made of steel. The process of embossing and labelling the male part is fully automatic with this machine.

„Today, many countries require pharmaceutical packaging to be labelled with Braille. Almost every cutting die in this area therefore requires special technology in order to be able to emboss these fonts. The msteel embossing machine is perfectly suited to moulding the Braille patrices. The material used is an approx. 0.4 mm thin special sheet, which is particularly mouldable. With the msteel, perfect moulding of the Braille dots in the sheet can be achieved easily and reliably. For use with both flat and rotary embossing dies.“

However, the msteel machine not only embosses every necessary Braille dot into the steel sheet, but also Marks the patrix fully automatically by means of engraving. The Braille patrices produced in this way can always be assigned to the corresponding order thanks to this labelling and can therefore be archived without any problems.

„The advantages of the msteel are obvious: the braille dies produced with it are of very high quality. Not only do they have an extremely long service life, their special dot design also ensures smooth further transport of the sheet in the die-cutting machine and therefore a reliable process. The steel design of the male die also means that no braille dots can be lost during the production of packaging. This ensures safety for both the cutting die manufacturer and the packaging manufacturer.“

Packaging manufacturers are increasingly producing rotary patrices directly in their own production facilities in order to be able to react flexibly to order situations. Thanks to the very simple handling of the msteel, Braille patrices can be produced easily and thus support packaging production.

„Our customers are particularly impressed by the optimised design of the Braille dots. These form a particularly legible surface on the packaging. This creates safety for the manufacturer and the consumer. We are pleased that we can make a contribution with our technology and our special quality.“

As the outer dimensions of the braille dies produced with the msteel can be manufactured precisely, they can also be quickly and easily integrated into various counter-finishings such as rillma+ or into die-cutting creasing plates. The msteel embossing machine is suitable for Production of Braille patrices in the cardboard and corrugated board sectors. The latter can be provided with Braille in the qualities E, F, G and N wave.
