In view of high raw material and energy prices and the shortage of skilled labour, the need for automated solutions that increase operational efficiency and guarantee product quality is increasing. At the same time, sustainability is becoming a key factor in many investment decisions. Ishida demonstrates at interpack how this can be achieved through automation and digital technologies. Individual systems and integrated systems will be on display. Each of the four areas of expertise on the stand will also feature a brand new Ishida development.

Scales in 11th generation

The CCW-AS multihead weigher marks the 11th generation of machines since Ishida invented this technology around 50 years ago. The new series offers users maximum performance and an increase in overall system efficiency especially with products that are difficult to process. At the same time, the scales impress with their high energy efficiency.

The newly developed Ishida IX-PD X-ray inspection system enables foreign body inspection at a high level. According to the company, the new sensor and image processing technology enables maximum detection rates to be achieved. The device is able to reliably detect both low-density foreign bodies and very small contaminants.

Display

The QX-500 tray sealer, on the other hand, addresses the food industry's need to maximise yield and output without compromising on product or packaging quality while minimising environmental impact. The tray sealer can be easily integrated into existing or new packaging lines.

Software solutions also included

A complete line for packaging snacks in pouches combines a 14-head CCW-RV multihead weigher, an Inspira flow-wrapping machine, a new TSC-AS seal seam inspector and an equally new ACP cartoner. The fully integrated solution offers maximum efficiency, reliability and flexibility.

Ishida also demonstrates the Industry 4.0 software "Sentinel" for monitoring machine performance with comprehensive data acquisition and analysis. The software enables preventive maintenance and effective planning of technician visits in order to significantly reduce downtimes. In addition, potential for improvement can be quickly identified and utilised.
