An essential part of a functioning supply chain is the right logistics. This also includes packaging. The transport packaging specialist Schütz is therefore focussing on the supply chain at its interpack presentation this year.
What makes the ideal packaging? The answers are presented Contactor at this year's interpack in visual form. Under the trade fair motto „Containing everything that matters“, the company is shedding light on the current requirements and tasks in the supply chain and presents its latest product and service solutions for IBCs, plastic and steel drums.
The special significance that Schütz attaches to interpack as the world's largest industry gathering is reflected in the multi-storey stand, which covers an area of over 650 square metres. Large-scale integrated, state-of-the-art LED technology not only allows the entire stand to shine in a new light again and again, but is also a defining part of the overall multimedia presentation. The featured products and themes are presented across the entire area with the help of modern 3D animations. With an international team, Schütz invites interested parties to find out about the innovations. A large number of exhibits will be available to experience live, as well as detailed product animations that clearly explain the specific innovations.
Large number of new publications
As a technology company, Schütz has been pursuing a holistic packaging concept for decades. This philosophy is also reflected in this year's trade fair motto „Containing everything that matters“. This is because the requirements for packaging as a logistics tool that is optimised for the respective supply chain are becoming increasingly complex. This includes not only direct product quality and performance, but also application-related criteria and support for processes and digitalisation on the customer side. Global availability and security of supply also play a major role for internationally operating companies when it comes to packaging. Last but not least, the economic and - to an ever-increasing extent required by law - ecological efficiency of the packaging used is decisive.
Schütz is presenting a large number of new developments at interpack. The focus will be on the closed packaging cycle. Visitors to the trade fair will be able to find out about the packaging from the new Green Layer series, among other things. Schütz uses 30% natural-coloured recycled material in the IBC inner containers and drum bodies of this product line, which is itself recovered as part of its global take-back programme for emptied packaging. In line with this, the company is presenting further new products that can help to reduce CO2-footprint of packaging even further. In addition to the numerous products that Schütz will be presenting as the second major focus of the trade fair, trade visitors will also be able to find out about the current overall packaging programme. For example, the company will be showcasing its range of plastic lidded drums from 30 to 220 litres as well as all bung drums and special types.
