While the chemical industry is predominantly represented by men, there is an increasing number of opportunities for women to take leadership positions and be seen as role models. The society is getting more inclusive by accepting diversity, so is the packaging industry. Women are now breaking barriers and inspiring the next generations.
Throughout her career, Afsaneh was mentored by men and women and received support and insights into the industry. Now she tries to find ways to give back to the coming generation and empower especially women to build a career in the packaging and processing industry. At interpack she also took part in one of the Spot Light Talks that focussed on women in packaging and gave us inspiring insights into the chances for women that lie within the industry and the potential that women bring to the table.
