DS Smith is expanding its product portfolio for digitally printed displays and corrugated cardboard packaging. The company is installing a digital direct printing machine with a connected high-performance production plotter at its Glinde site near Hamburg.
The technology offers customers the opportunity, Produce prototypes, individual samples and small batches quickly and flexibly in exact quantities. The result is a new dimension in flexibility and a reduced time-to-market for the innovative and fully recyclable corrugated cardboard products.

The machine installed at DS Smith in Glinde prints almost in offset quality and can also realise sophisticated print motifs and designs excellently. The printing is done with low-emission, UV-curing pigment inks in CMYK, which are especially suitable for corrugated cardboard. Various finishing options, such as the simulation of spot varnishing, are also possible.
