Visitors to LogiMAT 2024 can look forward to a new user forum. The showcase of AGV and AMR suppliers will be complemented by the „Mobile Robotics“ forum, where experts will share their specialist knowledge in five thematic blocks.
Mobile robotics is becoming increasingly important for efficient material flows in intralogistics. Nevertheless, economic analyses, system selection, implementation and fleet management often present potential users and interested parties with a number of challenges. Against this background, the LogiMAT 2024 in the the „Mobile Robotics“ user forum for the first time.“ recorded.
In cooperation with the Association of German Engineers (VDI), the Forum-FTS, headed by Dr.-Ing. Günter Ullrich, will be organising five all-day thematic blocks on the three days of the fair in the gallery in Hall 6 (stand number: 6H01) on current trends in Automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs). In a quiet atmosphere, visitors can hold individual discussions with experts, gain confidence in their decisions and prepare themselves specifically for the variety of AGV and AMR suppliers concentrated in Hall 6.
„AGV/AMR applications are sometimes complex and challenging, which is why users need to inform themselves. The new Mobile Robotics User Forum adds a neutral, customised source of information to the manufacturers“ offerings at the trade fair stands - to ensure the success of the project."
DisplayDr Günter Ullrich, Managing Director of Forum-FTS GmbH, emphasises the added value for LogiMAT visitors
The organiser Forum-FTS sees itself as a competence centre for the world of automated guided vehicles. Experienced experts from member and partner companies provide neutral and specialised information, advice and planning on the subject. The new „Mobile Robotics“ user forum at LogiMAT will focus on Selection of suitable solutions and their correct handling. In this context, AGV users and potential interested parties in mobile robotics receive competent and neutral advice from members of the AGV Forum and can address individual questions to the experts.
The user forum is also supported by other companies, institutes and bodies such as the Mannheim Employers„ Liability Insurance Association, the Fraunhofer Institutes IML (Dortmund) and IPA (Stuttgart), DEKRA (Ulm) and the Chair of Conveyor Technology, Material Flow and Logistics at the Technical University of Munich.
In the area of planning, the experts discuss the Correct design and structuring of project, specifications and fleet manager as well as standardised data interfaces for communication between automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and a control system in accordance with VDA 5050. At proof of concept, the experts provide guidance on the Technical feasibility of ideas for mobile robotics in intralogistics and for the economic efficiency of each visitor's own system.
The Safety and Security theme block shows visitors the most important aspects with regard to Plant safety, personal protection, property and machine protection and data security in AGV projects. In the technology section, the experts will discuss the following topics with visitors different vehicle types and designs. AGVs and AMRs are differentiated in terms of their autonomy, different navigation, vehicle control and steering systems are discussed and differences in sensors, drives, load handling and brakes are highlighted.
In the fifth topic area Special areas of application the experts will deal with special aspects that need to be taken into account when AGVs and AMRs are used outside of intralogistics, for example outdoors or in publicly accessible areas. The organisers are expecting high demand. Because the Slots for customised advice limited For organisational reasons, interested parties are requested to register in advance for the desired thematic block and trade fair day. Registration will be activated in good time on the LogiMAT website.
