The new cv.CROSSDOCK conveyor solution from cellumation automatically sorts objects from any inputs and outputs. This enables new logistics layouts and higher throughput. The company is bringing the solution to LogiMAT 2024.
At shipping logistics company DHL and flower wholesaler Verdnatura, the solution for a „parcel ballet“ is already performing at its best: With a The cv.CROSSDOCK 3D camera identifies incoming objects and transports them to the designated exit.
„Unlike conventional systems, this doesn't work one after the other in a row, but in parallel. Objects dance, rotate and move past each other - without colliding.“

The Variable number of inputs and outputs and users can turn inputs into outputs and vice versa. In contrast, standard systems on the market only have one input, which means that objects have to be transported one after the other in single file. The cv.CROSSDOCK solves this bottleneck: Through the parallel transport, users can significantly increase their throughput, sometimes even double. The significantly reduced throughput time of individual items in the sorter is just as advantageous: the faster they are sorted, the earlier the respective delivery journey can begin.
The flexibility of the cv.CROSSDOCK pays off in retrofits in particular. Depending on requirements, the system either automates existing hubs or can even combine several hubs for a more holistic approach. This means that the cv.CROSSDOCK is able to automate entire CEP distribution centres and still achieve Save space. Thanks to its modular design the celluveyor can also be adapted in size to the respective conditions and can replace individual „pieces“ of the existing conveyor technology without changing the entire layout.
„We can place sources and sinks minimally invasively where they are needed. This opens up completely new possibilities in planning that are only possible with a celluveyor.“
Jens Schürmann
