adapa Design for Recycling offers packaging solutions for customers in the meat, cheese, confectionery, tea, coffee and hygiene product sectors. The company will be presenting its plastic and paper-based innovations at Empack Dortmund.
With the revised assessment criteria for the recyclability of paper, a large proportion of the packaging currently on the market that uses coatings or waxes will have to be converted. Manufacturers who want to adapt their twist packaging in good time are adapa and the PaperTwister(re) on the safe side: The paper-based twist wrap for confectionery such as toffees or sweets combines the best of both worlds. Performance with Design for Recycling certified by CEPI (4EverGreen) and OPRL (CPI). With a Paper content of 90 per cent and a plant-based coating, Available as a standard paper or metallised version in thicknesses from 40 to 50 g/m2 , it can be used as a single or double twist and for folding applications. At up to 2,300 pieces per minute, the twistwrap offers impressive performance both on established twist wrapping machines and on modern high-speed lines.
To be successful in the long term, products need to be visible in retail outlets and make a good impression on consumers. Attractively printed and with a pleasant peel or reclose, adapa offers a wide range of products. Range of PP, PE or polyolefin-based top films. They can be finished using all standard printing technologies and can also be optimally combined with the matching thermoformable PP and PE bottom films from adapa. The FlexiClose(re) AMX Reclose top film is a particular highlight. With a density of <1 g/cm3, it is the ideal top film for unprinted APET trays.
In times of tighter budgets, consumers are looking even more closely at the value they get for their money. The SkinFreshTop Expert range of skin films emphasises the value of the packaging content at the POS: highly transparent and glossy, the enhanced films in the SkinFreshTop range ensure a premium appearance on the shelf and provide the decisive impetus for consumers' purchasing decisions. Thanks to their reliable performance, the innovative high-barrier films also impress customers from the very first test runs. For material-saving applications, it has been possible to further reduce the film thickness while maintaining the same high performance. With thicknesses of just 80-150 µm, the SkinFreshTop Expert reliably packs articles of different heights as well as meat products with bones. They seal against PE sealing layers or APET and PP mono films and trays. In combination with PP bottom films - also from adapa - complete high-quality skin packaging solutions are created.
„With investments that strengthen us, sound sustainability knowledge, a strong portfolio of efficient D4R packaging solutions and an application service with decades of experience, adapa is ready to drive change in the packaging market together with its customers and those who want to become customers in a competent partnership.“
