At Fakuma 2024, Netstal will be presenting a fully integrated production system for COC syringes that ensures comprehensive quality monitoring. With the all-electric Elion MED 1750 kN, Netstal produces 10 ml syringe barrels with Luer-Lock adapters. The system, which consists of a precision mould from Fostag and other technological components, ensures that all relevant process and quality features are fully recorded.

The production takes place in a fully automated production system, which, in addition to material preparation by motan colortronic and temperature control by HB-Therm, also includes a handling system from SKA. This enables the parts to be removed from the side and monitors the demoulding temperature with an integrated thermal imaging camera. In addition, the technology from Mouldflo ensures the Seamless monitoring of the cooling water supply, by recording temperatures and flow rates.

Particular attention is paid to precise control during the moulding phase, which has a decisive influence on the quality of the injection moulded parts. With the help of the Axos 9 control system and the Responsive Filling Control (RFC) technology Netstal high-precision process control that is independent of material fluctuations and a constant part weight ensures.

Each production step is documented, and the process and quality data are recorded via QR codes made traceable. With this comprehensive monitoring, Netstal ensures that all syringe barrels comply with the validated tolerance limits and fulfil the high requirements of medical technology.
