ABB Robotics is presenting new products and a new brand at this year's automatica. With OmniVance, the company is presenting a brand for standardised, ready-to-use application cells.
Presented under the new OmniVance brand ABB Robotics two solutions that lay the foundation for the factory of the future: the OmniVance FlexArc Compact Cell and the OmniVance Machining Cell including Machining Software. „Many industries are facing an unprecedented Shortage of qualified labour confronted with. In addition, there is global uncertainty and changing customer requirements,“ says Marc Segura, Head of ABB's Robotics division. „With ABB's robotics and software solutions, we are responding to these global trends: we offer Intelligent, flexible, mobile and user-friendly technologies, that prepare our customers for the future.“
Equipped with robots, controllers, software and other peripheral components, the OmniVance production cells are ready-to-use, modular solutions that can be customised to suit your needs. can be easily integrated into existing production lines. They also produce smaller batches efficiently, thus meeting the increasing demand for production solutions for small quantities and ever greater product variance. At the same time, users can react quickly to changing production requirements.

The company will be presenting the OmniVance FlexArc Compact welding cell and the OmniVance Machining Cell, including machining software, at its stand using videos and interactive virtual tours. The OmniVance FlexLoader M production cell with an autonomous mobile robot (AMR) and the CRB 15000 GoFa (cobot) and CRB 1100 SWIFTI (collaborative industrial robot) robots will also be on show. The company will also be presenting software solutions such as RobotStudio with new augmented reality and virtual reality functions.
„Our OmniVance brand from ABB unites all standardised manufacturing cells. The OmniVance cells are based on over 50 years of experience in robotic automation and are equipped with new software to speed up integration while enabling greater flexibility and efficiency.“
Marc Segura, Head of ABB's Robotics Division

The OmniVance FlexArc Compact Cell welding cell saves space and offers greater flexibility in welding applications with the smallest footprint in its class. In addition, the cell can also be easily combined with autonomous mobile robots. Up to four permanently installed robots ensure an increase in production capacity without having to change the structure of the cell.
The OmniVance Machining Cell and Machining Software offer more flexibility and simplicity for a range of applications such as the Grinding, polishing, cutting and surface finishing. The new processing cell can run up to eight different applications in a single cell. It can also run unattended for up to 20,000 hours in harsh conditions without the need for maintenance. With the intuitive machining software reduces installation time by 92 per cent. It is the first on the market to combine auto-calibration and web optimisation in one tool, which reduces calibration to ten minutes.
