The British finishing specialist A B Graphic International (ABG) has launched a new division, ABG Flex Pack.

The aim is to pool many years of experience in lamination and finishing and to offer complete solutions for the fast-growing flexible packaging market in future. A key element of this is an exclusive partnership with Galaxy Packtech, a global supplier of pouch and pocket machines.

ABG Flex Pack is based on three pillars of innovation. The ThermoLam system, a compact, modular thermolaminator with improved ergonomics, simplified handling and optimised space requirements, was presented for the first time. In addition, the collaboration with Galaxy Packtech has expanded the portfolio to include pouch and pouch solutions. Another new product is set to follow this year. ABG now offers an end-to-end process - from coating and lamination to pouch production.

Exclusive partnership and global reach

Galaxy Packtech brings 24 years of experience, over 2,000 installations and a team of 200 specialists to the collaboration, according to the statement. ABG is the exclusive distributor and service provider for Galaxy solutions in Europe (including UK & Ireland), America, Australia, Japan and Israel.

„We chose ABG because the company stands for innovation, high standards and comprehensive service. Together we can offer customers a flexible packaging solution that combines technology and market expertise,“ said Gaurav Sharma, Chief Marketing Officer of Galaxy Packtech.

ABG also sees great opportunities in the alliance: „Converters can now access an end-to-end solution from a single provider. With ThermoLam, Galaxy systems and other innovations, we are opening up greater efficiency and diversification opportunities for our customers in the dynamic flex-pack market,“ says Matt Burton, Global Sales Director at ABG.
