The European orientation was also further developed in organisational terms.

The adapa Group completed a refinancing at the beginning of 2026, thereby strengthening its long-term financial base, according to the company. The company has been undergoing a comprehensive transformation programme since the end of 2024 with the aim of further expanding its position as a European provider of flexible packaging solutions.

According to the company, adapa is focussing its transformation on three strategic fields of action. These include the establishment of a Group-wide service network with specialised competence centres, the further development of the portfolio towards fully recyclable packaging solutions and the strengthening of a company-wide culture with a focus on excellence and customer orientation.

Financial basis for long-term development

With the refinancing concluded at the beginning of 2026, the existing maturities of the financial liabilities were extended beyond 2031. At the same time, adapa says it has reduced its debt and significantly improved its equity and liquidity position. The transaction was supported by the existing financing partners and is intended to provide the company with a stable foundation for its further operational transformation.

Investments in technology and portfolio

In parallel with the financial reorganisation, adapa has implemented several investment projects in recent months. As part of a strategic investment programme, two new shrink extrusion systems and two printing machines were installed to enable high printing speeds and full camera inspection.

Another focus is on the development of recyclable packaging solutions. For example, adapa says it has launched the PP-based resealable MonoClose(re) P-type top web on the market. In combination with a PP bottom film from the company's own portfolio, a packaging solution is created that is considered „Designed for Recycling“ and is intended to support customers in realising sustainability goals.

The European focus has also been further developed in organisational terms. With the appointment of Stefano Manfredi as Chief Sales Officer, adapa has strengthened its European management team and expanded its customer-centred sales approach.
