The ALDI SOUTH Group is adding a further target to its packaging mission: by the end of 2025, all own-brand plastic packaging is to consist of at least 30 per cent recycled materials on average.
The ALDI North Group and ALDI SOUTH Group launched their joint packaging mission in summer 2018. The recyclate target complements the far-reaching goals of the ALDI Packaging Mission. These include: All own-brand packaging should be recyclable by the end of 2022. The two companies also want to reduce the packaging weight of their own brands by 30 per cent by the end of 2025,* by which time at least 40 per cent of fruit and vegetable products will also be sold unpackaged.
