Allen Coding GmbH Würzburg, manufacturer and developer of solutions for printing systems in packaging lines, is focussing its FachPack presentation on the topic of connectivity. Thanks to digitalisation, considerable cost savings and process simplifications can be achieved in the industry, particularly in the area of product labelling.

The company's product range for labelling secondary packaging is complemented by the Diagraph PA6000E labelling system completed. The all-electric label dispenser consumes 50 per cent less energy than pneumatically driven models.

The precise working electric servomotors enable labels to be positioned precisely even on uneven products such as bags or foil-wrapped drinks packs. Labelling on cartons of different heights or around corners is also possible. The system can also be easily moved from one production line to another, as no compressed air lines are required.

The high-resolution Diagraph IJ4000 large character inkjet printer has been approved by the European Pallet Association (EPAL) for labelling pallets. This means that marking pallets using branding stamps will be a thing of the past in future, and digitalisation is also making inroads into pallet marking.

Both the hardware and the ink were subjected to extensive tests and inspections for approval by EPAL. The automatic self-cleaning function and centralised ink supply make the printer particularly suitable for the Use in harsh production environments.

It offers a print image height of 100 millimetres, a resolution of 300 dpi and print speeds of up to 90 metres per minute. The Diagraph IJ4000 printing systems are currently the large character coders with the Lowest maintenance effort, the shortest downtimes and the longest service life.
