Alpla takes over Spanish company Bopla

Bopla S.A.

Alpla, an international specialist for packaging solutions and recycling, is acquiring Bopla S.A. as part of an asset deal. Alpla intends to utilise the Spanish company's expertise in the field of single-stage production technologies to expand its product portfolio.

Bopla S.A. was founded in 1978 and manufactures the following technologies: EBM (Extrusion Blow Moulding) and ISBM (Injection Stretch Blow Moulding). Plastic packaging here. The majority of existing customers come from the following market segments Cosmetics, body and household care.

"Bopla is well positioned in areas that are part of ALPLA's core business. We also want to utilise the company's many years of expertise in single-stage manufacturing processes to expand our portfolio," explains Marc de VoogdGeneral Manager at Alpla for France and Iberia.

The site in Les Franqueses near Barcelona currently employs around 50 people, who will be taken over by ALPLA. In Les Franqueses, Alpla operates a production plant since 1990The integration of the new location will certainly benefit from this.

The contracting parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price or any other details.
