At this year's Anuga FoodTec shows the Alpma Alpenland Maschinenbau GmbH premiered the electronic inspection system Eagle Eye and the new film packaging FreshPack at the trade fair.
Two new products from the supplier of processing, cheese-making, slicing and packaging technology are celebrating their trade fair premiere at the leading trade fair in Cologne: the Eagle Eye electronic inspection system increases product safety in fully automated cheese processing lines. The new FreshPack film packaging in turn perfectly protects butter from contamination and loss of flavour. Alpma will also be presenting numerous other automation solutions along the entire dairy product process chain.
It is the first trade fair appearance after more than two years of absence due to the pandemic. „The pandemic was also an accelerator of digitalisation and the consistent connection of our globally installed systems to our service portals,“ says Frank Eberle, Managing Director at Alpma. „In addition, there are important innovations in the further development of our production lines - particularly with regard to the increased hygiene requirements worldwide.“
Alpma is now presenting two of these innovations, the Eagle Eye inspection system and the new FreshPack butter packaging. for the first time at Anuga FoodTec.
Eagle Eye detects film residue and mould infestation
In future, the innovative Eagle Eye inspection system will be used primarily for in fully automated production lines for cheese The electronic „eagle eye“ detects defects such as film shreds or unwanted mould immediately and with an accuracy that is even superior to that of the human eye.
Thanks to state-of-the-art camera technology and a specially developed lighting system, the Eagle Eye achieves an accuracy of almost 100 per cent. Faulty goods can thus be sorted out directly and the highest hygiene standards are maintained along the production line.
Food safety on the one hand, convenience for the consumer on the other: With the new FreshPack solution, the Alpma turn the current concept of butter packaging on its head. While the standard wrapping packaging currently used does not adequately protect the butter from contact with oxygen, bacteria and other contaminants, FreshPack offers several advantages: The Precisely cut and double-sealed film packaging not only comprehensively protects the butter from tampering and contamination, but also better preserves the flavour of the sensitive product.
Alpma has also developed solutions for the plant manufacturer Sulbana and the French cheese mould manufacturer Servi Doryl into its portfolio. Both will also be represented on the stand at Anuga FoodTec.
