Altera System GmbH and Der Grüne Punkt - Duales System Deutschland GmbH (DSD) were consolidated as part of a new corporate reorganisation. Altera is merged with DSD.
Altera operates a nationwide, household-based system for collecting used sales packaging in accordance with Section 18 of the German Packaging Act. „Our strategic orientation is primarily focussed on the Internationalisation of the Green Dot and on establishing new technologies for plastics recycling. The merger of Altera with DSD supports this,“ says Mark Vester, Managing Director of Altera and DSD. DSD.
Some Altera employees have already been transferred to DSD. „These colleagues have outstanding expertise that we can put to very good use,“ says Vester. Altera's exemptions as a system will be returned and the contract with the joint organisation of the dual systems will be terminated.
