With the film-based cover, Schreiner ProTech offers an alternative to conventional injection-moulded covers. The solution offers customers a greater reduction in complexity.

The film-based cover consists of a sturdy polyester film that is precisely applied and securely bonded to the housing by laser welding. This method guarantees High resistance to chemical, mechanical and thermal loads. But the FBC goes beyond a simple closure and has evolved into a comprehensive all-in-one product. This includes integrated pressure equalisation elements and the option of Subsequent, vapour-resistant TTR labelling.

„Our aim was to offer a complete solution that not only fulfils the requirements for an enclosure cover, but also significantly reduces complexity and effort for our customers.“

And the team at Carpenter ProTech has succeeded: Through the use of this housing closure customers reduce the space required in the production line, The new system reduces investments in processing machines and shortens cycle times. This not only increases efficiency, but also significantly reduces administrative costs - a measurable added value. In addition, the film-based cover is particularly suitable for sensor applications as it offers better radar permeability than solid injection-moulded covers, which significantly improves sensor performance.

A key aspect in the further development of the product was the Regular dialogue with developers and users. Thanks to the trusting cooperation, a smart basic idea, whose primary goal at the beginning was to create a product that was as flat and flexible as possible, was able to grow bit by bit. The film-based cover from Schreiner ProTech shows how innovation and customer focus lead to a product that fulfils the requirements of the market and at the same time offers room for future growth.
