Aluflexpack is divesting its Croatian site in Omial Novi due to antitrust regulations. The MTX Group is the new owner.
Aluflexpack AG, which is listed on the Swiss stock exchange, has sold its Croatian site in Omial Novi to the MTX Group. The background to the transaction is competition law requirements imposed by the European Commission in connection with the Majority takeover of Aluflexpack by Constantia Flexibles were set up.
The transaction was structured by the consulting firm MP Corporate Finance, which specialises in M&A processes, as exclusive financial advisor to Aluflexpack. Despite a challenging market environment, MP was able to realise a highly competitive bidding round within just 2.5 months, according to reports. Both strategic buyers and financial investors showed strong interest and competed until the final stage of the process.
MTX Group takes over Omial Novi
The MTX Group is the buyer in the process. Details of the transaction amount or further strategic plans have not yet been published. Omial Novi is a specialised manufacturer in the field of flexible packaging solutions and now complements MTX's industrial portfolio.
