The Italian food packaging specialist AMB takes over the German company PTS-Verpackungen from Gauting, thereby expanding its market position.
AMB Spa, headquartered in San Daniele del Friuli, Italy, announces the acquisition of the German company PTS (Prime Tray System) Verpackungen from Gauting. PTS develops for its customers with products from various renowned manufacturers innovative industrial packaging solutions for the German and international market. Among other things, PTS had been entrusted with the distribution of the AMB range for around 20 years. With the takeover of the German packaging specialist, the international company headquartered in northern Italy is strengthening its Market position, particularly in Germany and the entire DACH region.
Greater customer proximity and expanded portfolio

From packaging design, mould construction and prototype production to film production, customers receive all services along the entire process chain from a single source. By integrating PTS, AMB is expanding its range of services. Growth strategy continued
The acquisition of PTS is the second acquisition of AMB within just 12 months: In June 2019, the Italian company already acquired the TDX (Europe) Limited from Newcastle, Great Britain. TDX is one of the market leaders in PET and RPET films as well as laminated rigid films for the food and packaging industry. With the acquisition of the British film specialist, AMB has become a full-service provider for packaging design, rigid and flexible films and mould production.
