At Fachpack, Amcor will be presenting solutions that combine sustainability with functionality and design to meet the requirements of brands from the food, non-food and industrial sectors.
One focus is on on reusable and recycling solutions. These include reusable cups and lids that are suitable for consumption on site or to take away. They are dishwasher-safe, durable and recyclable at the end of their service life. The range is complemented by lightweight food containers made from recycled materials and the Politainer - a polyethylene container in a cardboard sleeve, which saves weight and increases the efficiency of the supply chain.
Amcor is also presenting innovations in closures. The Modena Flip Top TE offers a mono-material construction with integrated tamper evidence and facilitates one-handed operation. Other solutions such as the Sava Flip Top and the Sunny and Pical pourers for cooking oils round off the range.
In the area of flexible packaging, Amcor is presenting NorDiVent films, among others with up to 50 per cent recycled content, stretch hood films with PCR components and the Bontite and Stratos stretch films, that enable material savings. For food and beverage packaging, the company is presenting recyclable mono-material films that can replace conventional multi-material laminates. Another example is the Omni Xtra+ cling film as a PE alternative to PVC.
Amcor will also be showcasing its CleanStream technology, in which Domestically recycled polypropylene is used for contact-sensitive applications.
