With the retirement of Joachim Metzmacher, Gerhard Stangl, previously Head of Production at the large-scale machine plant in St. Valentin, will join the Management Board from 1 July 2023. As Chief Production Officer (CPO), he will take over the production agendas of the ENGEL Group.
Gerhard Stangl studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University in Vienna and joined the Schwertberg plant in 2006 as Head of Production for small and medium-sized machines. He then moved to the large machine plant in St. Valentin and is now returning to the main plant in Schwertberg.

the company to begin his retirement. In his role as CPO, he has overseen the largest investment programme in the company's history in recent years. More than 375 million euros were invested in the expansion and modernisation of the global production plants.
