Anuga FoodTec off to a successful start

Exhibitors and visitors came together in Cologne today for the start of Anuga FoodTec. The trade fair can be visited until 22 March.

Exhibitors and visitors come together today in the halls of Koelnmesse for the start of Anuga FoodTec. New concepts and innovative developments in the international food and beverage industry will be presented until 22 March.

At the opening of the trade fair, Sandrine Dixson-Declève, Co-President of the Club of Rome, gave a keynote speech on topics that concern the industry and society. She focussed in particular on the Challenges and opportunities for the food and beverage industry. With the growing population and for sustainable production, progressive approaches should also be pursued and innovative technologies utilised.

Over the next few days, more than 1,6000 exhibitors from around 150 countries will come together in eight exhibition halls to showcase their innovations and current applications for the food and beverage industry. In addition to Machines and sustainability, the topic of digitalisation also plays and how it can be utilised by companies. On day one of the trade fair, the supporting programme of the Anuga FoodTec Events on sustainable food production and digitalisation. The trade fair can be visited until Friday.
