Anuga FoodTec has presented its content orientation for 2027. Under the guiding theme „Navigate Complexity. Smart. Safe. Sustainable.“, the trade fair in Cologne from 23 to 26 February 2027 aims to show how the food and beverage industry can respond to increasing demands for efficiency, safety and sustainability with technological solutions.
Globalised flows of goods, changing consumer behaviour and climate protection are increasing the complexity of production. At the same time, the requirements for quality, traceability and efficiency are growing, while cost pressure continues. The new key theme picks up on these developments and focuses on solutions that combine efficiency and safety with ecological, economic and social responsibility.
Specialist programme in cooperation with the DLG
„With its guiding theme ‚Navigate Complexity. Smart. Safe. Sustainable.‘, Anuga FoodTec 2027 will show ways in which data-supported control, secure networking and resource-efficient processes can make complexity in production more manageable,“ explains Roland Thiemann, Director of Anuga FoodTec.
The trade fair works closely with the German Agricultural Society (DLG) to organise the content.

Three building blocks for the food production of tomorrow
The main theme is divided into the areas of smart, safe and sustainable. The focus will be on AI-supported and automated systems to increase transparency and efficiency along the value chain, solutions for process and cyber security as well as concepts for seamless traceability. Resource optimisation, energy efficiency and circular approaches will also take centre stage.
As an international meeting place for the industry, Anuga FoodTec sees itself as a platform for dialogue between industry, science and politics. With the new guiding theme, the trade fair aims to provide impetus for the further development of global food production. The next Anuga FoodTec will take place in Cologne from 23 to 26 February 2027.
