Automated Packaging Systems (APS) is presenting the latest generation of its pouch packaging systems at LogiMAT 2018. According to the company, the APS Autobag 500 and 550 systems set new standards in semi-automatic and fully automatic pouch packaging.

The systems offer optimum ease of use combined with maximum operating safety and high packaging speed. Downtimes for changing the bag format or for maintenance are significantly minimised. Innovative bag guides enable Absolutely trouble-free packaging process.

Solutions for e-commerce mail order

APS will also be showcasing its packaging solutions for e-commerce and mail order. The systems developed for this purpose can be easily loaded by hand, but can also be easily integrated into fully automated fulfilment systems. The fulfilment segments of picking, packing and labelling/franking can now be completed in a single operation with the new APS systems. The AB 850S processes mailing bags with a width of up to 550 mm, which is not available from the competition.

For the protective packaging of sensitive goods during transport and storage, APS is presenting its further developed AirPouch FastWrap system. It now produces the patented honeycomb bubble wrap in widths of up to 800 mm. One carton of film produces 326 linear metres of bubble wrap. The typical Autobag bag-on-a-roll will be presented in a wide variety of designs as well as bubble wrap that protects against UV radiation or electrical charge.
