Austrian Post opts for reusable bags from Hey Circle

The Munich-based start-up Hey Circle is now working with Austrian Post to provide 40,000 reusable mailing bags.

The provider of reusable shipping packaging for e-commerce, Hey Circle, is now working with Austrian Post. Following a public tender, the Munich-based start-up was chosen to provide 40,000 reusable shipping bags.

Austrian Post will use the reusable mailing bags from hey circle to its business customers as part of its Post Loop Service Plus. rent out the bags and take care of the shipping and cleaning. Mailing bags in sizes S, M and L are used as Post Loop packaging.

Customised design and easy returns

The bags can simply be folded and returned via the letterbox. For empty returns the return address is already attached to a fold-out flap with a sticker. Conventional returns are returned to the shipping customer with a return label. Consumers can find instructions on how to return goods directly on the bag and on post.at/postloop.

The mailing bags for Austrian Post feature individual branding: they come in light grey with a straight-lined leaf print and bear the Austrian Post logo. They are just as recognisable as the turquoise boxes and bags from Hey Circle.

Milestone for the reusable start-up

Austrian Post is the largest customer to date for the sustainable start-up from Munich, which entered the market in April 2022 with its foldable shipping box. The portfolio currently comprises eight products, Hey Circle offers a wide range of products, namely the bags in sizes S, M and L, the foldable boxes in sizes S, M, L and XL and the goods mailbox. Hey Circle has several patents and more than 25 customers in German-speaking countries already ship with Hey Circle. Tests were recently conducted at eyewear designer VIU and clothing manufacturer Trigema.
