Kuka will be presenting user-friendly automation solutions at Automatica 2025 under the motto ‚Making automation easier‘ and will show, among other things, how artificial intelligence can simplify robot programming in the future.
Automation and robotics are considered complex. Kuka wants to prove the opposite at Automatica. „Our vision is to develop automation solutions that are so user-friendly and intuitive that they make our customers' work easier. in more and more application areas“, says Reinhold Groß, CEO of the company's robotics division.
For example, the company is rolling out a new operating system across its entire portfolio The new Kuka robot operating system iiQKA.OS2, the associated engineering suite iiQWorks and the new KR C5 controller for iiQKA.OS2 will be in the spotlight at the trade fair. The new operating system is 2025 initially available for small robotics and is then gradually rolled out to the entire robot portfolio.
However, Kuka is not only growing its software portfolio, but also its hardware range: New to the portfolio is the KR Titan ultra, which will be presented for the first time at Automatica with a payload capacity of up to 1500 kg.

Artificial intelligence and software
Kuka is pursuing two goals with the use of artificial intelligence (AI): Automate internal processes and incorporate AI into innovations in a meaningful way. In Munich, the automation company will be demonstrating how AI can simplify robot programming in the future. Here too, the aim is to make access to automation as easy as possible for customers. Digital products and services for intelligently networked, future-proof production are becoming increasingly important.
The end-to-end digitalisation of industry requires robot-related software products that focus on the optimum performance of Kuka robots, also hardware-independent offers. Kuka Digital takes care of that. The digital division was founded in 2024 and brings together the software specialists Mosaixx, Visual Components and Device Insight, which will also be represented at Automatica 2025.

According to the company, anyone walking through the Automatica halls will not be able to avoid Kuka Group: Swisslog will be presenting SynQ, the future-proof software that can be seamlessly integrated into warehouse systems, and in the ‚Kuka Dome‘ visitors can Experience complete 3D system solutions in 360, and Kuka robots are not only to be found at the company's main stand, but will also be exhibiting at numerous partner exhibition stands, which tasks can now be automated with the support of robots.
With Mosaixx and Visual Components, two more Kuka Digital companies are represented in Munich. Mosaixx will be at the trade fair the major product launch of the Software-as-a-Service platform of the same name celebrate. Visual Components, the Finnish provider of software for 3D production simulation and offline programming of robots, will be presenting version 5.0 of its platform at the trade fair.
