The key to the success of automated intralogistics solutions is overall system expertise. Trapo embeds customised systems into the production environment: Hardware and software for conveyor technology, robotics, customised gripper technology, autonomous shuttle transport and control by an ME system all come from a single source.
With live machine performances, the company from Gescher-Hochmoor in Westphalia, Germany, has now presented itself to the public. at LogiMAT in Stuttgart and interpack in Düsseldorf before.
LogiMAT started with a big bang for Trapo: the Award for „Best Product“ for autonomous loading and unloading with the TLS 3600. „This prestigious intralogistics industry award confirms and encourages us,“ says Dr Thomas Gutwald, Managing Director of Trapo.
Reduced downtimes - increased safety
„For decades, we have been endeavouring to reduce the downtimes of trucks at the ramp,“ says Head of Department and jury member Prof. Wolf Michael Scheid, explaining the jury's decision. „Trapo offers an improvement for box lorries in general, without special stationary facilities: a step forwards. We have an approach that can be used on more than just one ramp and that tolerates tolerances in the alignment of the lorries.“ The user benefits: Increased safety and time savings. The TLS operates automatically between the warehouse and the loading ramp.
With the LogiMAT success in the bag, the Trapo sales team set off for interpack, where under the motto „Rethinking Packaging Processes“ precise robot palletising and depalletising live with a suction gripper and a fork gripper was realised. The perfect co-operation was complemented by conveyor technology on two levels and the Trapo Pack software.
At interpack, the Eco-Box Packaging System (EPS series), an innovative solution for shelf-ready packaging. During development, the focus was not only on performance, but above all on sustainability - with high savings potential for cardboard packaging. This combines the EPS the visual advantages of tray lid packaging with the logistical benefits of one-piece secondary packaging.
Meanwhile, Trapo is writing the next chapter in its more than 65-year success story. the showroom with loading ramp and platform for autonomous loading and unloading with the TLS 3600 opened and customers welcomed.
