Automated solutions for snacks and confectionery

From 28 to 31 January, Gerhard Schubert GmbH will be showcasing its solutions for packaging snacks and confectionery at ProSweets in Cologne.

ProSweets in Cologne kicks off the new year with a trade fair highlight for the snack and confectionery industry. From 28 to 31 January, Gerhard Schubert GmbH will also be showcasing its solutions for packaging snacks and confectionery.

The ProSweets Cologne is one of the most important trade fairs for the entire sector-specific supply spectrum of the confectionery and snack industry. For the Gerhard Schubert GmbH, which counts many well-known companies from the snack and confectionery industry among its customers, the trade fair is an opportunity to present its innovative technical developments for the packaging industry.

Innovations often arise from a problem that is successfully solved. In this case, Schubert focussed on the fact that there can be delays in the process if the blank magazine on the packaging system runs empty. With the new TLM Comfort Feeder, this is now a thing of the past, as can be seen on a bar packer at the trade fair. It is sufficient to simply place the entire pallet with the blanks that are still in the cutting sheet into the machine. A F4 robot then pulls the blanks individually directly from the sheet and feeds them into the erecting process at a speed of 60 cycles per minute. The cut sheet can be optimised even better for the greatest possible utilisation of the packaging material. This saves material and therefore resources and costs.

Wide range of product variants and supplementary services

The experts will provide information about the diverse portfolio of packaging machines at various theme islands. From pick-and-place robots in the picker line to flow and case packers and entire packaging lines, Schubert offers all the machine technologies that manufacturers need for their high-quality packaging. Especially interesting for snack and confectionery manufacturers are the packing lines, where the products are fed in via several side conveyor belts so that different product variants enter the packaging process at the same time. The flexible driverless transport system „HERBIE“ from the manufacturer Carrybots is ideal for various different transport tasks in the production or logistics process. This can also be seen on the Schubert stand at ProSweets, where it will be demonstrated in operation on a short route.

Schubert offers additional services to fulfil its customers' needs precisely.
