automatica 2025 in Munich set a new record with around 47,500 visitors from over 90 countries and 1,120 robots on display. The leading trade fair focussed on AI-supported robotics, automation for SMEs and networked production.
With its largest edition to date, automatica 2025 has impressively underlined its role as the world's leading trade fair for intelligent automation and robotics. From 24 to 27 June, around 800 exhibitors from 40 countries presented their innovations at the Munich exhibition centre. Visitors and exhibitors were extremely satisfied in surveys - top scores for quality and relevance confirmed the success of the event.
Robotics for all industries and company sizes
A key topic was the increasing integration of artificial intelligence into automated systems. The trade fair offered practical solutions for SMEs in particular. The VDMA also emphasised automatica's contribution to competitiveness through smart automation.
International stage for innovation
Around 35 per cent of visitors travelled from abroad. Showcases on healthtech, humanoid robots such as NEURA Robotics and AI-driven solutions at the munich_i Hightech Summit were particularly popular. Speakers from Google DeepMind, Microsoft and Nvidia, among others, appeared there.
Knowledge transfer and dialogue
The comprehensive supporting programme with over 270 keynotes, show stages, guided tours and workshops was very popular, according to the organisers. Educational programmes and start-up presentations were also very popular, according to the organisers.
The next automatica will take place from 22 to 25 June 2027.
