International exhibitors at the digital Automatica Sprint

Automatica Sprint will provide the robotics and automation industry with a digital meeting place from 22 to 24 June 2021. Part of this format is also munich_i - a newly created platform for robotics and artificial intelligence.

Automatica Sprint will provide the robotics and automation industry with a digital meeting place for exchange, knowledge and business from 22 to 24 June 2021. Part of this format is also „Munich_i“ - a newly created platform for robotics and artificial intelligence.

On 22 June, the new trade fair format Automatica Sprint. Participants can expect an extensive range of innovations as well as numerous presentations and discussion panels on challenges in the field of robotics and automation.

Around 80 companies take part in Automatica Sprint

The digital format centres on the solutions and products of the approximately 80 Exhibitors. The international industry representatives include ABB, Basler, Bosch Rexroth, Epson, Fanuc, Festo, Hahn Automation, IDS, Kuka, Manz, MVTec, Schaeffler, Schunk, Siemens, Stäubli as well as Teamtechnik, Universal and Yaskawa. In the companies' individual brand rooms, participants will have the opportunity to obtain detailed information and via various channels to get in direct contact with the exhibitors.

Extensive supporting programme

In addition to the companies' brand rooms, Automatica Sprint also offers a versatile Supporting programme on developments and trends in the automation industry. The Company Sessions offer insights into new developments and innovations from key industry players and range from specialist lectures to live product presentations and panel discussions on topics such as cobots, smart manufacturing, connectivity, energy efficiency and artificial intelligence. In addition, there will be daily roundtable discussions with industry experts on topics such as G5, robotics in SMEs or industrial image processing instead.

The English discussion round „Applying AI - How to create responsible technological innovations that promote wellbeing“ deals with the use of technical innovations such as AI, which are accompanied by ethical, social, political and legal challenges. Alongside Minister of State Bernd Sibler, representatives from BMW, Deutsches Museum, IBM and the Technical University of Munich (TUM) will discuss issues surrounding this topic. The discussion will be chaired by Prof Alena Buyx, Director of the Institute for the History and Ethics of Medicine and Director of Munich_i.

A special highlight of the supporting programme: the virtual demonstrator for OPC UA technology. This is a Digital image of an assembly machine, which trade fair visitors can immerse themselves in virtually. Non-visible processes in the real machine, such as the communication between the individual elements, become comprehensible in this way and illustrate the concept of a „digital twin“.

High-tech platform Munich_i celebrates its premiere

With Munich_i, the virtual trade fair offers another highlight for participants. The newly created event for robotics and artificial intelligence consists of four elements: In addition to the Hightech Summit and the AI.Society, the components also include the Robothon and the „munich_i robot driver's licence“.

The virtual High-tech Summit on 22 June will focus on the interaction of human and artificial intelligence in the areas of work, health and mobility. The summit will be opened by Bavarian Minister President Dr Markus Söder, patron of Munich_i.

Start-up companies and chairs at the Technical University of Munich will be showing which applications of artificial intelligence have already found their way into everyday life on all three days of the event as part of the digital exhibition AI.Society. The developer competition Robothon is looking for the creative minds of tomorrow.

An independent jury will select the winner of the challenge on 22 June. The munich_i robot driver's licence combines theory and practice. In online workshops aimed at interested children, young people and adults, concrete application examples are used to show how robotics can make our everyday lives easier in the future.

Participation in Munich_i is free of charge for visitors to the Digital platform included in the ticket. The event language is English.
