Copa-Data presents new functions of the zenon software platform at SPS 2024 that support companies with decarbonisation and safety goals. Zenon offers solutions for energy monitoring and data integration in areas such as life sciences, automotive and the food industry.

Copa-Data presents on the PLC 2024 in Nuremberg will be presenting the latest enhancements to its zenon automation platform. The focus will be on solutions for Decarbonisation, data security and automation. Zenon supports companies in integrating energy data in order to achieve sustainable production targets in accordance with ISO 50001. „The path to CO2-reduction is achieved through digital solutions and automation,“ says Frank Hägele, Sales Director of Copa-Data Germany. Zenon allows a Comprehensive data acquisition and presents them in user-friendly dashboards that enable targeted analyses.

The requirements for cyber security, which have become stricter as a result of the EU's NIS2 directive, have also increased. With the zenon SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) solution, companies can Flexible IT and OT security architecture and integrate modern protection technologies in order to fulfil security requirements.

In the area of process and production data analysis, zenon Historian 360 offers a central platform for storing and analysing data. This enables precise recording of energy flows and emissions, which supports sustainability through improved energy efficiency. With over 300 interfaces, including GraphQL and Python, zenon facilitates the Collection and preparation of data for ESG reporting.

Display

New zenonVisualisation and modularisation functions are also presented. The HTML5-based Web Visualisation Service (WVS) enables the platform-independent display of process data, and the MTP gateway ensures the integration of older systems into heterogeneous production environments. Modularisation is promoted by the MTP standard (Module Type Package), which enables flexible production processes in various industries, such as chemicals and food.

Copa-Data is also introducing the zenon Process Orchestration Layer (POL), a Modular control solution for the process industry. The zenon IIoT services offer secure integration of external components in real time and allow user-friendly operation for quick customisation.
